Supervisor: Dr. Samantha Winton
Welcome, glad you stopped by! My goal as a therapist is to provide my counseling clients with a safe and validating environment where teens and young adults from all over Saint Petersburg can learn skills and strategies for managing a myriad of challenges, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also seek to help the families of my teens learn how to support them through difficult times. I am a solution-focused therapist who strives to join and help each client on his or her journey in life. My treatment approach is flexible, pulling from various therapy models to best meet the needs of my clients. What makes me unique is that I am a dedicated, collaborative, and warm clinician, who truly enjoys working with adolescents and young adults.
I am a postdoctoral fellow specializing in therapy for adolescents and young adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, PTSD, and self-harming behaviors, such as cutting. As a health psychologist, I also provide services for teens and young adults struggling with medical issues that can also impact mood and quality of life, such as disturbed sleep, diabetes, or even cancer.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Georgetown University and my Masters and Doctorate in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, with specializations in child clinical, pediatric, and integrated health psychology. I completed my predoctoral internship in child/adolescent clinical and health psychology at Denver Health and Hospital Authority in Denver, Colorado.
As a member of the team at the Integrated Care Clinic, I am completing my postdoctoral fellowship, in order to complete the steps required for licensure. My wish is to continue to specialize in delivering effective treatment for adolescents, young adults, and their families.
