teen peer pressure therapy

Common Peer Difficulties for Teens:

  • Lack of acceptance
  • Peer pressure
  • Bullying: physical or verbal
  • Feeling attacked
  • Split in friendships

We all know that teenage years are tough.  Teens are awkward, self-conscious, and feel an immense about of pressure from themselves, their academics, and their peers.

What you might not know, is that adolescence has actually gotten harder since you went through it.  Peer pressure and bullying have gotten harsher AND have many more outlets – think social media.

How Can We Help?

You might be thinking, “How can therapy help?  You can’t make my kid’s friends

be nice?”  Too true.  While we wouldn’t have access to peers, therapy can help your child learn how to manage peer pressure, develop strategies to increase their resiliency, and learn effective communication skills.

If your child is struggling with peer difficulties, please call our office for a brief consultation, and we can discuss whether or not therapy would be helpful for your teen!
